UNDER Project kicks off the Third International Mobility in the Czech Republic
Znojemské Region, 9–12 March 2026
The third and final international mobility of the UNDER – Underground Navigators Exploring and Revealing project officially begins on 9th March in Višňové, in the Znojemské Region of the Czech Republic. The event, titled “Sustainable and Rural Tourism in the Znojemské Region”, brings together partners and participants from Malta, Italy, Hungary, and the Czech Republic for four days of learning, cooperation, and cultural exchange.
The project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, focuses on strengthening professional skills in underground heritage management, sustainable tourism, and community development. After previous mobilities in Italy and Hungary, this third meeting represents the concluding chapter of a European journey dedicated to vocational education, inclusion, and heritage preservation.
Hosted by Znojemské Podhorácko, the mobility will explore best practices in rural and sustainable tourism, with particular attention to how small communities can enhance local development through the promotion of cultural and natural heritage. Participants will engage in site visits, workshops, field activities, and peer-learning sessions aimed at exchanging innovative methods and strengthening cross-border cooperation.
The programme includes visits to local heritage sites in the Znojmo area, cultural visits, community engagement, and experiential learning. Through these activities, participants will deepen their understanding of how rural regions can combine tourism development with environmental protection and cultural preservation.
The UNDER project continues to demonstrate the value of European collaboration in fostering professional growth, intercultural dialogue, and the sustainable management of underground and rural heritage sites. The Višňové mobility marks not only the final international meeting of the partnership but also the beginning of new opportunities for cooperation and future joint initiatives across Europe.
Updates, photos, and videos from the event will be shared on the project’s official communication channels in the coming days.
