RENEW (Reinforcing the European Network on Energies and reneWables)
RENEW is a forward-looking, citizen-oriented town-twinning project that aims to strengthen cooperation among local communities across Europe while promoting renewable energies, democratic participation, gender equality, and social inclusion. The project seeks to build a new narrative for Europe—one where citizens are not just beneficiaries but active authors of the Union’s sustainable future.
The project is managed and coordinated by ACe20 (Italy) together with the applicant organisation Znojemské Podhorácko (Czech Republic), in close collaboration with partners from Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Malta, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.
The first international event of RENEW took place successfully in Jevišovice, Czech Republic, from 15th to 19th October 2025, gathering citizens, local administrators, and youth representatives from all partner countries to discuss “Building a Better Europe: Strategies for a Hands-On and Inclusive Participation of Citizens at EU Level.”
The next international meeting will be hosted in Ta’ Kercem, Malta, in March 2026, continuing the project’s mission to empower citizens and foster a more democratic, green, and united Europe.
