The GLOBE project grew out of Lighthouse Languages' desire to enrich its educational offerings in the field of adult education by focusing on the specific needs of the over-60s in the digital and globalized age. With a staff of competent and motivated volunteers, the association set out to specialize in two crucial areas: the use of new technologies and communication in English.
Lighthouse Languages, having a solid local base and a trained and competent staff, wanted to compare and enrich its educational practices at the European level. The main objective of the project was to specialize in the field of adult education by exploring and comparing teaching methods different from those already adopted.
Through the GLOBE project, conditions were created for effective and stimulating comparison, offering the staff involved the opportunity to strengthen their skills through interaction with other European educational settings. This experience has enabled Lighthouse Languages to open up to an intercultural European dimension, thus enriching its educational practice and offering added value to its courses.
The skills acquired during the mobilities have been shared with the entire team of the association, ensuring that new methodologies and approaches are effectively integrated into the daily practice of each practitioner. In this way, the GLOBE project has contributed significantly to the growth and development of Lighthouse Languages, enabling the association to offer high-quality, state-of-the-art adult education.
